1、Inlet: The compressed air enters the filter through an inlet port.
2、Coalescing Stage: The first stage of the filter is the coalescing stage. It consists of a series of filter elements that have a fine mesh or fiber material. These elements are designed to capture and coalesce tiny oil and water droplets present in the compressed air. The coalesced droplets then fall into a sump at the bottom of the filter.
3、Filtration Stage: After the coalescing stage, the compressed air passes through a series of filter elements with a porous material, such as activated carbon or a synthetic fiber. These elements are designed to capture solid particles, such as dust, dirt, and rust, present in the compressed air. The filter elements have different levels of filtration, typically measured in microns, to remove particles of different sizes.
4、Drainage: The separated oil and water collected in the sump are drained out of the filter through a drain valve. This prevents the contaminants from re-entering the compressed air system.
5、Outlet: The filtered compressed air exits the filter through an outlet port, ready for use in various applications.
